MEN'S TENNIS TEAM COMPLETES ANOTHER GREAT WEEKEND

Men Earned Both Doubles And Singles Titles This Weekend

Dayton, Ohio.
- The University of Dayton men's tennis team completed another great weekend of tennis at the Wright State Shootout. The Flyers finished overall 17-8 in singles play and 9-3 in doubles. 


In singles action Andrew Hanley advanced to the semifinals of the "A" bracket and was defeated by teammate Aidan Koross (6-3, 6-4). Josh Malyon defeated Ross Whitaker from Walsh (7-5, 7-5) earning him a chance at the title as well. Josh Malyon and Aidan Koross did not compete for the individual title of the "A" bracket champion but instead were crowned co-champions.  
In doubles action, Aidan Koross and Bernardo Sanson advanced to the Flight A finals where they competed against Mason Bourbon and Dan Gilbert (Wright State). Koross and Sanson fell to the Wright State duo 8-4. In Flight B of the tournament, Andrew Hanley and Andy Druffel competed against teammates Enzo Milano and Colin Bernier in an all Flyers doubles final. Hanley and Druffel won the match 8-3 taking the title of Flight B doubles champions.  
Next up for the Flyers…
The men will head to Knoxville Tennessee where they will compete at the ITA Regionals (Oct. 11-15) hosted by the University of Tennessee.
