MEN'S TENNIS GOES 1-1 THIS PAST WEEKEND

Earning Victory Over Western Illinois

DAYTON, Ohio.- The men's tennis team finished the weekend 1-1 as they were downed by Northern Illinois University 4-0, but bounced back to snag a 4-1 win over Western Illinois. 

Doubles partners Aiden Koross and Bernardo Sanson faced 37th ranked doubles duo from NIU Amir/Lynch at the No.1 position but were unable to gain momentum after their first point trailing behind 8-1.

On Sunday the Flyers faced Western Illinois at a neutral site where they remained in control the entire day. In doubles action UD swept WIU 8-4 at the no.1 spot, 8-6 at the no.2 spot and 8-5 at the no.3 spot. 
In singles action Malyon, Druffel and MacDonald led the Dayton with each of their respective victories.

The men will be home this weekend as they host Northern Kentucky (2-2) on Friday, February 28th at 3:00 p.m. ET followed by IUPUI (2-11) on Saturday,March 1st at 4:00 p.m.
