NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its final women's track and field weekly awards of the season on Monday and named University of Dayton freshman Erin Reese as the Co-Rookie of the Week.

Reese finished first in the shot put and set a new personal record at the RedHawk Invitational on Saturday. The freshman thrower from Mt. Prospect, Ill., posted a mark of 14.09m in the event, which is the top performance in the Atlantic 10 this season.

She also took seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 50.57m, which ranks third in the Atlantic 10.

The Flyers will head to Fairfax, Va. this weekend to compete in the 2015 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships
