DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's track and field team will head southwest to Lexington, Ky. this Friday and Saturday for the Kentucky Invite.
The event will be hosted by the University of Kentucky at the Nutter Field House Jan. 15-16.
The host Wildcats open their season as the No. 8 team in the nation with a number of other nationally and regionally ranked squads attending as well, such as Ohio State, Ole Miss, Pitt, Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Louisville, and UCF.
The Flyers are coming off a strong opening meet at the Buckeye Classic last Friday, led by senior
Jordan Hoffman's school record in the 60m hurdles. Dayton will look to continue that success against a loaded field this weekend in Kentucky.
Field events begin Friday at 4 p.m. and start back up Saturday at 9 a.m. All events are scheduled to be completed early Saturday evening.
