DAYTON  – The University of Dayton track and field team opens up the 2017 indoor season Friday, Jan. 6 at the Buckeye Classic at Ohio State's French Field House in Columbus, Ohio. Field events are slated to begin at 4 p.m. and track events will start at 4:30 p.m.
Parking is free in the north French Field House/St. John Arena lots or the south French Field House lot.
There were 11 Flyers that set PRs last year at the Buckeye Classic including the following who will be competing at the OSU event this year:Â senior
Adria Butler (Shot Put), juniors
Jenni Rossi (Weight Throw) and
Sarah Sepanski (60mH & high jump), and sophomores
Taylor Vernot (mile),
Allison Triskett (3000m),
Marie Harla (high jump), and
Meghan Krawiec (long jump).
Dayton will be competing against Ohio State, Central State University, Ashland University, Forza Athletics, Indy's Racing Cheetahs and Metaphoric Speed International.
UD has six athletes returning this season that own Top 5 all-time indoor marks in Dayton history.
