DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's track and field team is going to Cincinnati for the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. The event will take place at the Gettler Stadium this Friday and Saturday.  The Flyers will compete against teams from Ball State, Butler, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana (Pa.), IUPUI, Marian (Ind.), Northern Kentucky, Toledo and Xavier.Â
The Flyers will compete in just one event Friday:

Dayton will be back in action Saturday, April 1 with the field events beginning at 10 a.m. and the first races starting at 12:20 p.m. for the Flyers.

The Flyers are coming off a strong showing at the N.C. State Raleigh Relays as they look towards the second meet of the season. In North Carolina, Dayton had 14 personal bests and a new school record in the javelin thanks to freshman
Lillian Cook's top performance in her first-ever collegiate meet.
Gettler Stadium is where all but the hammer and javelin will take place. Those two events are held at Coy Field, which is just off campus (directions:
http://www.gobearcats.com/sports/c-track/spec-rel/coy-directions.html). There will be a shuttle that runs between the two facilities.Â
