Track and Field Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

The Flyers Have Earned the Award Nine of the Last 10 Years

NEW ORLEANS – The University of Dayton earned All-Academic Team honors for the 2016-17 NCAA Division I Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field seasons. It was announced today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

It marks the ninth time in the last 10 years the Flyers have earned the all-academic team honor from USTFCCCA.

The Flyers finished the year as the most balanced women's running program in the conference; taking second place at the A-10 Cross Country Championship, third at the A-10 Indoor Track and Field Championships, and third at the A-10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

In addition, Dayton sent three student-athletes to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary Round with Lillian Cook in the javelin, Erin Reese in discus and hammer throw, and Jenni Rossi in the discus.
