#UDMTEN Scheduled To Face Xavier Tomorrow

Flyers Will Be Seeking Their Fourth Straight Win

The University of Dayton men's tennis team will be in action tomorrow on the road in Cincinnati against Xavier at 1 p.m. The Flyers will be searching for their first win over the Musketeers since April 7, 2006, in the Atlantic 10 Conference Semifinals, when Dayton downed Xavier by a score of 4-3.

Dayton is 14-3 this season and has won 11 of its last 12 matches, including each of its last three. Junior Jordan Benjamin is 13-0 this season at No. 1 singles and seniors Zach Berry and Carsten Fisher have combined for 31 wins on courts two and three this season.

Freshman Will Harper was honored as the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week on Tuesday. He became the second Flyer to win the A-10's Rookie of the Week Award this season and the fourth player to be honored by the conference this season. Fellow freshman Theo Jener won the Rookie of the Week Award twice in 2018 and Jordan Benjamin and Carsten Fisher have both been recognized as the Player of the Week earlier this season.

After Friday's match with Xavier, Dayton men's tennis will have a scheduled break, with its next match not coming until April 6 against Iowa at the Five Seasons Sports Club.
