Campbell, Hull, And Long Sign With Track And Field

DAYTON – Jason Ordway, University of Dayton's director of track and field/cross country, announced the signing of three student-athletes. They are: Colleen Campbell (Lake Orion, Mich/Lake Orion High School), Aileen Hull (Mundelein, Ill./Carmel High School) and Naja Long (Dayton, Ohio/Dunbar High School). They will be joining the Flyer track and field team starting in the 2018-19 season.

Campbell is a pole vaulter and has a personal record of 12 feet 4 inches. She competed at the 2018 New Balance Indoor Championships, holds the school record and was named MHSAA all-state. She also has a PR of 5 feet 1 inch in the high jump. 

Hull has been named the MVP of her cross country team four times and her track team three times at Carmel. She has been named all-conference seven times (four for cross country and three for track). She is a four-time indoor state qualifier, placing sixth in the 3200m in 2016, seventh in 2017, third place in the 4x800 in 2018. She is the school record holder in the indoor 3200m (11:32). She has been an outdoor state meet qualifier three years in a row so far, all for the 1600. In 2016, she was a medalist with a seventh-place finish. Her PRs are: 3 miles in cross country - 18:23; 3200m - 11:27; 1600m - 5:11, and 800m - 2:23.
 
Long specializes in the 400m dash and has a PR of 59.27.  She was part of Dunbar High School's state qualifying 4x100m and 4x200m relays. She was also part of the indoor state runner-up team at Dunbar in 2017. She helped the Wolverines by helping to win the indoor state championship in the 4x400m relay in 2017.
