Jenni Rossi was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Field Performer of the Week. Her award was based on her performance at the RedHawk Invitational on April 28. This is her third weekly honor this season.Â
Rossi won both the hammer throw and shot put and took third in the discus at the Miami RedHawk Invitational Saturday.Â
Her mark of 55.64m in the hammer is a PR and the fifth best in UD history. It is the best mark in the A-10 this year, by nearly two meters. She took gold in the hammer throw at the 2016 A-10 championships and third at the 2017 A-10 Championships.Â
Rossi also took first place in the shot put with a mark of 13.85m. She is the three-time defending outdoor A-10 champion in the shot put and she is the current leader in the A-10 thus far this season.Â
Rossi also took third place in the discus. She currently has the second-best mark in the A-10 this season. She won the discus at A-10 outdoors in 2016.Â
The Flyers will be competing at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships this Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6 in Fairfax, Va.Â
