Jason Ordway Adds Four More To 2019-20 Signing Class

Lilly Allen, Angela Braga, Rachel Heidtman, and T’Kayla Kelley Will Join The Flyers

DAYTON –  University of Dayton director of track and field/cross country Jason Ordway has announced four additions to the Flyer 2019-20 signing class.

Throwers Lilly Allen, of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Rachel Heidtman of Middletown, Ohio, along with distance runner Angela Braga of Glastonbury, Conn. and sprinter T'Kayla Kelley, of Steubenville, Ohio, will join the Flyers starting in the 2019-20 season.

"Lilly is a very talented student-athlete Coach Kevin Gilhuly has added to an already stellar recruiting class," said Ordway. "We will be looking for her to make an instant impact in the throws in the Atlantic 10, as well as bringing an additional competitive edge to the group."

"Angela Braga will be a great addition to our distance team. She has a wide range of events she can excel at in the mid-distance and long distance events, and I'm excited to see where she really takes off and develops," said Ordway. "She's willing to do the work and contribute in any way she can to the program."

•  All-New England as a sophomore and junior
•  Team captain for cross country as a senior
•  Two-time team captain for track

•  Led team to cross country CCC championships in 2016, 2017, and 2018
• Also part of the team that won the 2018 and 2019 CCC championship and three outdoor track and field championships (2016-18)

"Rachel Heidtman comes to us with solid marks and a great work ethic. She fit in with the team immediately and really felt at home on her visit," said Ordway. "She is an awesome teammate and supporter of those around her and that infectiously positive outlook will help our throws group really take off."
