NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The 2020 Atlantic 10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team was announced today.

Dayton senior Emily Borchers was named to the 11-person team. This is her third time being named to an A-10 All-Academic Team. The other honors include: 2019 A-10 Outdoor Track & Field and 2018 A-10 Women's Cross Country seasons.

She holds UD school records in the indoor 5000m run (16:26.13), the outdoor 3000m run (9:43.93), and 3000m steeplechase (10:08.39), and is also second all-time in UD's cross country 5K.

She's qualified for two NCAA Regionals and last year, qualified for the NCAA National meet in the steeplechase.

Borchers was also awarded the Charles R. Kendall Award for Athletic and Academic Achievement at the 2020 annual Dayton scholar-athlete awards reception.

She is a communications major with a concentration in management and a minor in marketing.
