NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The Atlantic 10 Conference released it's list of track and field weekly awards on Wednesday, and Dayton thrower Taylor Flight was honored as the Women's Field Performer of the Week.
 
Flight had another quality showing at the Flag City Open on Feb. 18, as she placed third in both the shot put and weight throw overall, helping the Flyers to a second place finish as a team. Her mark of 13.55m in the shot put was her season-best for the 2022 indoor season. The grad student followed up that performance by posting a 18.68m mark in the weight throw, also her best mark of the year.
 
Flight and the Flyers will compete in the 2022 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend, as they travel to Fairfax, Va for the two-day event, hosted by George Mason University. Action is set to get underway at 9:00 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
