On Thursday, the season officially began with
Raegan Ernst competing for the Flyers in the pentathlon at the Findlay Oiler Open. Her three PRs and noticeable improvements have set the tone for the Flyers on Saturday. The Tiger Opener will mark the first time the Flyers are competing in Wittenberg for indoor track and field. They will be exposed to new competition and a new environment as a way of getting prepared for their 2024 season.
"This meet will serve as a great benchmark for how our summer and fall training went," said Associate Head Coach
Aaron Gordon. "It will also serve as a rust buster for everyone before going into our next phase of training. This, like with Raegan on Thursday, will allow me to see where our training has brought us going into our indoor season. It will allow me to watch them compete at 100% in a controlled environment so that I can make adjustments to their training if needed. It will be a good meet for the girls and I look forward to them dropping some great early season marks."
