Watson & Bogues Honored As CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes Of The Week

Dayton Student-Athletes Will Be Recognized Throughout the School Year

DAYTON - University of Dayton baseball graduate student Nolan Watson and track and field redshirt junior Casey Bogues have been named the Ohio's CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held April 1-7.

Named Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week, Watson slashed .545/1.273/.643 for the weekend, hitting two doubles and two homers, scoring eight runs, and driving in seven more at St. Bonaventure. He started all three games behind the plate for the Flyers this weekend, including both games of a Sunday doubleheader. Watson, who hails from Manahawken, New Jersey, had hits in all three games, including his second career two-homer game.

Bogues, a Red Bank, New Jersey, native, picked up her ninth career win as a Flyer with the second-longest javelin throw in the Atlantic 10 this season at 47.68m. The defending conference champion set the conference's top mark this year in March at the Raleigh Relays, where she threw 48.44m and finished third. Bogues is a two-time Atlantic 10 champion in the javelin and was named A-10 Field Performer of the Week on Tuesday.
