DAYTON - University of Dayton track and field standout
Jadyn Haywood was nominated for the 2025-26 Winter Allstate National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Good Works Team (Winter), NACDA announced Tuesday.
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team was established in 2024 to recognize male and female student-athletes across all collegiate sports and divisions for their leadership in community service, academics and athletics.
Haywood has amassed many honors during her time at the University of Dayton. Last weekend, she won the 60m at the Wolverine Invitational and collected her 16th collegiate victory. The senior was named 2025 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track Performer of the Year at the A-10 Championships. The Dayton native won both the 100 and 200 meters and also claimed a silver medal as part of the 4x100 relay team. A Chaminade Julienne graduate, Haywood holds multiple school records at Dayton and competed in the 100 meters at the NCAA East Regional last season. Â
Away from the track, she is a member of the 2025 Executive board of SAAC - and is the Co-Chair of Inclusion & Belonging. She's been a SAAC rep in 2024 and 2025. Haywood has demonstrated a strong commitment to service as part of the leadership team for Run Your City Dayton. RYC is an organization offering all kids an opportunity to participate in sports regardless of socioeconomic factors. This organization offers a future where collegiate athletes join with local communities to ensure team sports are accessible to all kids. Haywood, along with several of her fellow UD track & field student-athletes, started the Dayton chapter last summer. The RYC-Dayton chapter offered a 6-week sport program, completely free, to all kids in grades K-8. Haywood and the other student-athletes are already planning for the spring semester programming.
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team recognizes 60 student-athletes annually across the fall, winter and spring seasons, with 20 honorees selected each season. A distinguished selection committee of athletics directors, former student-athletes and industry leaders will choose the final 20-member team — 10 female and 10 male student-athletes — set to be announced on February 4. One student captain will also be named to represent the group.Â
