Contini tied the match in the first half with a goal in the 19th minute for her second of the season. After the half, Grenda and Smith connected on the game-winning goal, as a heel pass from Grenda to Smith set up an easy shoot and score. Contini received the secondary assist on the play. Smith then returned the favor in the 77th minute with a cross that Grenda was able to head to the back of the net to bring the score to its 3-1 final.
The three-point day pushed Contini into the team lead for points on the season with eight (2 goals, 4 assists), while Smith moved into a tie for most goals (3), and now has sole possession of most game-winning goals (2).
