DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's cross country team will be represented by four athletes in the 5,000m at the GVSU Big Meet, hosted by Grand Valley State University. Jameson Maynes, Logan, Arnold, Kamden Kramer, and Owen Pukys will all be making their indoor season debut on Friday.

Logan Arnold, a sophomore from Xenia, Ohio, will be running his first collegiate indoor 5k on Friday. The Archbishop Carroll product currently holds a personal best of 15:23.6 at the distance. Arnold is racing for the first time since the NCAA Great Lakes XC Regional, where he set a 10k PR of 34:19.7. He is coming off of a successful cross country season that saw him set PRs in the 5k, 8k, and 10k.
Kamden Kramer, a freshman from Fairview, Pennsylvania, will be making his collegiate track debut. His 5k PR from cross country stands at 15:04.7. Kramer had a strong debut season in cross country, being named the Atlantic 10's Most Outstanding Rookie after being the top freshman finisher at the A-10 Championships in November.
Jameson Maynes, a senior from Milford, Ohio, holds an indoor 5k PR of 15:22.87. Maynes had a strong final cross-country season, posting PRs in both the 5k and 8k. This will be his first race since the NCAA Great Lakes XC Regional in November.
Owen Pukys, a senior from Louisville, Ohio, will be back on the track for the first time since April of 2024. He currently holds an indoor 5,000m PR of 14:34.91. Pukys is coming off a historic senior cross country season in which he broke the 8k school record in a time of 23:51.4 and finished third at the Atlantic 10 Championships, being named to the All-Conference First Team and the A-10 All-Academic team.
