#FlyBoys’ MacDougall And Bello Earn Atlantic 10 Awards

These Are The First A-10 Honors For Both

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Dayton baseball team had two weekly award winners, the league office announced.

Danny MacDougall was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week. Jason Bello picked up A-10 Co-Rookie of the Week.

MacDougall led Dayton with a .636 batting average, going 7-for-11 in the team's 3-0 series against Eastern Kentucky. The grad transfer had four doubles and three runs scored, going 5-for-6 on stolen base attempts. At second base, he tallied three putouts and nine assists.

The graduate student is second in the country in doubles (6) and doubles per game (1). He leads the A-10 in both categories.

Bello, a sophomore out of Fort Myers, Fla., spent time at both third base and designated hitter last weekend. He posted a .400 batting average, hitting two home runs in Friday's 17-7 win. Bello totaled six runs scored and four RBI on the weekend.

He also earned five assists at third base.
