WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Dayton baseball team had two weekly award winners, the league office announced.
Danny MacDougall was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week. Jason Bello picked up A-10 Co-Rookie of the Week.
MacDougall led Dayton with a .636 batting average, going 7-for-11 in the team's 3-0 series against Eastern Kentucky. The grad transfer had four doubles and three runs scored, going 5-for-6 on stolen base attempts. At second base, he tallied three putouts and nine assists.
The graduate student is second in the country in doubles (6) and doubles per game (1). He leads the A-10 in both categories.
