DAYTON – Are you interested in throwing out the first pitch at a Dayton Flyer baseball game this spring? The University of Dayton is giving fans the opportunity to enter for a chance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at select Dayton Flyer home games during the 2018 season.

In order to enter, email your name, age, and why you want to be selected to throw out the first pitch to marketing coordinator

phillipsr4@udayton.edu. The athletic department will randomly select the individuals Feb. 23 and winners will be notified via email.

In addition to throwing out the first pitch, contest winners will also receive a special Dayton Flyer T-shirt.

Dayton baseball opens up its season this weekend on Feb. 16 at USC Upstate. Head coach
Jayson King is in his first year with the Flyers and comes to Dayton after spending the 2017 season as the associate head coach for Army. Overall, King has amassed an overall record of 675-338-3 (.610) in 20 seasons as a head coach, including stops at Franklin Pierce and UMass-Boston. During his time at Franklin Pierce, King led the Ravens to the NCAA Division II College World Series seven times and won 31 games or more in 15 consecutive seasons.
The Flyers have 24 home games on the slate for the 2018 season and play their home games at Woerner Field. Look at the full schedule
