Sass Joins As Volunteer Assistant Coach

DAYTON – University of Dayton baseball head coach Jayson King has added Pete Sass to the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant.

"We are very excited about having Pete on board," Coach King said. "He will be a great addition to the program."

Sass comes to the Flyers from ASA Miami College, where he worked as an assistant coach from January to December 2021. Prior to that, he served as an assistant at Barry University from August 2020 until his stint at ASA Miami began.

A native of Decatur, Georgia, Sass has also served as the head coach of two travel baseball teams, leading the Ohio Warhawks this past year and Beast Mode Prime from September 2018 to now.

Sass also served as the head coach for Doctors Charter High School in Miami Shores, Florida from August 2017 to March 2020.

"I'm very grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Dayton baseball family," Sass said. "I can't wait to start up and get after it."
