Flyer Student-Athletes Are Part Of A Record-Breaking Graduating Class

52 Flyer Seniors Graduated With Honors

DAYTON  – Just over 1,700 undergraduates – the most in University of Dayton history – received degrees on Sunday.  Among them were 82 current and former Flyer student-athletes who  graduated with impressive accomplishments in the classroom and in their respective sports, and will continue that excellence in the next steps of their journey.  

In addition, the senior members of the Flyer baseball, softball and track teams will be honored in their own private ceremony on Monday following this weekend's competitions.

Listed below you will find some of the plans of University of Dayton senior student-athletes from the class of 2024:

Baseball
Luke Baker – Heading back home to Florida and looking to work within professional baseball in an analytics role
Parker Bard – Graduated Cum Laude 
Austin Brush – Graduated Cum Laude; Has accepted a position in Emerson's "Engineers in Leadership Program." Will begin with extended rotations in Houston and Singapore
Omar Daniels – Hopes to go into coaching
Travis Densmore – Plans to give back to the game of baseball by giving lessons to youth players, as well as working toward getting a front office job for a professional team
Ryan Packard – Graduate Cum Laude; Co-winner of the James B. LaVanche Award of Excellence to the Outstanding Scholar-Athlete Graduating in the Department of Health and Sport Science; Will be studying Business Analytics in grad school while playing his final season
Nick Rispoli – Graduated Magna Cum Laude
Ryan Steinhauer – Will be looking for opportunities in sales while continuing to pursue a career in baseball
Nolan Watson – Will pursue a professional baseball career with a long-term plan to go into college baseball coaching
Nick Wissman – Hopes to continue his playing career

Men's Basketball
Koby Brea – Will play his final season as a graduate transfer 
Kobe Elvis -- Will play nis final season as a graduate transfer 
CJ Napier – Hopes to go into college coaching
Zimi Nwokeji -- Will play his final season as a graduate transfer 

Women's Basketball
Destiny Bohanon – Graduated Cum Laude in 2023; Hopes to play professionally overseas
Anyssa Jones -- Will play her final season as a graduate transfer 
Mariah Perez – Currently training with the Puerto Rico women's national program; Hopes to play professionally in Europe next season
Taisiya Kozlova -- Will play her final season as a graduate transfer 

Men's Cross Country
Sam Duncan -- Graduated Cum Laude; One of four graduates in the University's Grand Scholars Challenge Program;  Will complete his college eligibility next year while attending grad school and working at UDRI
Calan Gizelbach – Graduated Magna Cum Laude (MBA); Looking to find a marketing and content creation job in Columbus
Adam Jones -- Graduated Summa Cum Laude; Earned University Honors with Distinction; One of four graduates in the University's Grand Scholars Challenge Program; Awarded the Mary M. Shay Award of Excellence in Academic and Co-Curricular Activities; Co-winner of the Patrick F. Palermo Honors Program Founders Award for the Exemplary Honors Thesis Project Involving International Research, Service and Leadership in Community, or Advances the Realization of a Just Society; Will be pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati beginning next year
Tristan Karnes -- Graduated Summa Cum Laude; Will be working in the computer engineering field in the Columbus area
Lincoln Williams -- Graduated Cum Laude; Has accepted a position with Price Waterhouse Cooper in Columbus

Football
Nathan Arthur – Working in Cincinnati as a Loan Officer for Union Savings Bank
Danny Baker – Returning for his final season next year
Luke Brenner -- Returning for his final season next year
Sam Bubonics – Is on the coaching staff at Washington & Jefferson College
Jake Coleman – Returning for his final season next year
Logan Davis – Has accepted a position as an account manager with Medasource.  After a six-month training period in Indy, will be working in his hometown of Louisville.
Cole Dow – Hoping to play professionally
Michael Franks – Graduating Cum Laude (MBA); Will looking to join the workforce in Dallas
Mason Henry – Graduated Summa Cum Laude; Has accepted a position with General Electric Aviation in its OMLP program.
Cole Hildebrand – Will be attending graduate school to earn a certificate in Contemporary Business Topics, and will also help coach the football team next fall
Joe Lansing – Graduated Cum Laude; Has accepted a position with Stryker Medical Equipment Sales in St. Louis
Matt Lenti – Graduated Cum Laude in 2023; Is on the coaching staff at North Central College
Connor Muck – Graduated Cum Laude; Will work in Louisville for Reynolds
Sam Mueller – Working in sales for Corbett, Inc. in Philadelphia
Michael Neel – Graduated Cum Laude in 2023; Will complete his MBA in August
Troy Reisner – Graduated Summa Cum Laude in December; Currently deciding on what med school to attend
Grant Russell – Pursuing an entry-level position in sales or marketing
Sam Schadek – Is earning his DMC graduate certification this spring; Will be working in Columbus
Joey Swanson – Will be working as a Financial Analyst Intern at Marriott Vacations Worldwide in Hilton Head, S.C. 
Will Tammaru – Has accepted a full-time position as Junior Risk Manager at StoneX Group in Chicago
David Tkatch – Is working as an Employee Benefits Consultant for Gallagher in Pittsburgh
Jackson Ward – Graduated Magna Cum Laude 
Sam Webster – Graduated Cum Laude in 2023
Derek Willits – Graduated Summa Cum Laude in December; Working for Medasource in Cincinnati

Men's Golf
Henry May – Graduated Cum Laude; Will be turning pro and competing in mini-tour events this summer

Madeleine Casto – Graduated Magna Cum Laude with University Honors; Will be attending the University of Louisville School of Dentistry
Angelina Koch – Graduated Summa Cum Laude; Co-winner of the James B. LaVanche Award of Excellence to the Outstanding Scholar-Athlete Graduating in the Department of Health and Sport Science; Will be pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Miami (Fla.)

Logan Brown – Graduated Cum Laude in December; Signed a pro soccer contract with Chattanooga FC

Elizabeth Shafer – Is joining Xylem's Engineering Leadership Development Program in Morrisville, North Carolina.  Will work  on new product development, technical feasibility studies and sustaining engineering.

Connor Bruce – Graduated Magna Cum Laude; Will continue his tennis career at the professional level
Matt DeMarco – Graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2023 for undergrad and Cum Laude in 2024 for grad school (Interdisciplinary Studies).

Ronit Hiryur – Graduate Summa Cum Laude; Winner of Chemical and Materials Engineering's Edmund J. Rolinski Memorial Award of Excellence to the Outstanding Senior in Leadership and Service
Nikola Puric – Will earn his Master's next fall

Women's Tennis
Elizabeth Hamilton -- Graduated Cum Laude in 2023 for undergrad and Magna Cum Laude in 2024 (Master's in Mechanical Engineering); Will be starting a biomechanics position as a crash test engineer for Honda Research and Development
Erica Wojcikiewicz – Will earn her graduate degree next December

Women's Track & Field/Cross Country
Casey Bogues – Graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2023; The 2023 winner of The Charles R. Kendall '29 Memorial Award of Excellence for Achievement in Academic and Athletic Effort; After finishing her eligibility as a track athlete, will become a middle school language arts teacher and help coach a local high school's track and field team
Rayana Burns – Will be returning to the track team next season
Abby Carter – Named the winner of the Learn, Lead and Serve Undergraduate Award to the Biology Undergraduate Student Who Completed an Outstanding Experiential Learning Project, which included both Leadership and Service; Will be working as a Riverscape Restoration Technician working for Anabranch Solutions in Portland, Ore.
Zoe Chappelle – Graduated Magna Cum Laude; Will be attending Ohio State's Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program
Julia Diloreto – Graduated Cum Laude; Marianist Leadership Scholar
Jenna Eggleston --  Currently looking for graphic design employment, preferably in the Dayton area
