WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Dayton baseball team received Atlantic 10 Player and Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday morning. Bobby Stang was named Player of the Week, with Colin Lynch earning Rookie of the Week.
This marks the team's third-consecutive week earning both weekly awards. These are also the first conference honors for both Stang and Lynch.
In the FlyBoys' 4-0 week against Akron and Maine, Stang hit .438, going 7-for-16 with a double and three home runs. The redshirt junior tallied eight RBIs and scored six runs. At first base, Stang had 43 putouts and two assists.
Lynch went 6-for-13 on the week, hitting three home runs. The freshman had his first game with multiple home runs against Akron, going yard twice. He finished the week with eight runs scored and nine RBIs.
