WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Dayton baseball team's John Delgado was named this week's Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced.

This is Dayton's first Pitcher of the Week award and the first for Delgado.

The junior pitched all seven innings in the FlyBoys' 8-0 win over St. Bonaventure on April 26. He allowed just two hits and struck out seven batters, good for an opposing batting average of .091.

Delgado now has two wins on the season. He has struck out 52 batters, leading the Dayton pitching staff. With 40.2 innings pitched, he boasts a K/9 of 11.64.
