ANDREA HOOVER – Women's Basketball 2011-2015
Andrea Hoover's journey from unheralded recruit to being part of the best 1-2 punches in Dayton women's basketball history has now ended in the University of Dayton Athletic Hall of Fame.
Hoover finished fourth in career scoring with 1,848 points a game for the Flyers, with career averages of 14.6 points and 5.6 rebounds a game. She has the best career rebounding average of any guard in UD history and holds the UD single-season record for FT% (.936, 117-125).
While the stats are nice, it was the winning that set her and teammate Ally Malott-McCarthy apart. Hoover played on four NCAA teams, and was a big part of the class with the most NCAA tournament wins (4).
During her senior year, she was part of the team that defeated Iowa State, Kentucky and Louisville in the NCAA tournament before losing in the Elite Eight to UConn. She was part of four A-10 regular season championship teams.
Andrea is now a Cost/Price Analyst for the United States Air Force. She and her husband Jake live in Bellbrook, Ohio with their two daughters.
