JIM OVERMAN - Football - 1961-1963
Jim Overman was born on March 30, 1942. Jim Overman came to the University of Dayton in
1961 from Minster, Ohio where he majored in Pre Med and also played football for the Dayton
Flyers. Overman played as a fullback for the Flyers between the years of 1961 and 1963. In 1962
and in 1963, Overman received the White Allen trophy which is the MVP trophy; the recipient
of this trophy is selected by members of the team and the team votes on who is the most valuable
player. In 1963, Overman shared the captain position with quarterback Tom LaBeau. Jim
Overman is noted as an all time letter winner.
After graduating from the University of Dayton, Overman went on to play for the Green Bay
Packers and for Winnipeg, Canada.
