BETTY BURKE KAUFMAN - Volleyball, Golf, Basketball - 1972-1976
 

A 1976 graduate of Dayton with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Biology, Kaufmann played basketball, golf and volleyball for the Flyers from 1972-76. She earned her M.S. in Athletic Administration from Dayton in 1978 and was inducted into the Dayton Flyers Hall of Fame in 1985. Betty and her husband Jamie reside in Lake Forest with their son Patrick and daughter Norie. Their sons J.T. and Tucker are DePaul graduates.

From 1980-86, Kaufmann served as the Senior Women's Administrator and head women's volleyball and basketball coach at Lake Forest College. She also worked as an assistant to the Women's Athletics Director at the University of Dayton from 1977-80 while serving as an assistant women's volleyball and basketball coach.

  • 2001 Top 400 Teachers by Golf Magazine.

  • 1979-1980 played on the Women’s Professional Golf Tour.

  • 1982 competed in U.S. Women’s Open Championship.

  • Member of the Dayton Athletic Hall of Fame
