ARTHUR BOK - Football - 1946-1950

Arthur Bok also known as “Art” played for the University of Dayton’s football team as the left halfback.  He was said to be a fast, elusive, and a hard driving back.  Bok played all four years in his college career from 1946 to 1950, and in 1950 he graduated.  He grew up in Ft. Wayne Indiana and lived at 845 Walnut St.  Art Bok also attended Toledo Central Catholic High School.  Dayton’s football team had high hopes for Art Bok as they knew he would keep becoming more of a force each year.  He was listed as 6 feet two inches and weighed 193 pounds, majoring in science.  Unfortunately Bok suffered from a leg injury during his college years but that didn’t stop him from making the all Ohio team in 1948.  Bok has been married to Jeanne Bok where they have five children.

His other interests besides sports are traveling and listening to music.  After graduating Dayton Bok got his degree in medicine and soon came back to Dayton to be the head team physician of the football team.
