DONALD SMITH - Men's Basketball - 1971-1974

Don Smith was one of UD’s greatest basketball players. He was born on October 10, 1951 and attended Roth High School in Dayton.  A small guard at 6’0” and 160 lbs, Smith excelled with his speed and athleticism. He averaged 20.4 ppg at UD.

Smith was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 19th overall pick of the 1974 draft. He played one year in the NBA and averaged 5.2 points per game.
