COLLEEN WILLIAMS – Soccer 2009-12

Colleen Williams is first in career points (166), and second in both goals (58) and assists (50) in Dayton women's soccer history.  She scored seven goals as a freshman, 18 as a sophomore, and even though she was increasingly a marked woman, 16 as a junior and 17 as a senior.

But she wasn't just a stat maker, she was a winner. Williams played on teams that were 16-1-6, 19-3-1, 19-4, and 14-4-2, with a career record of 68-12-9.  Her Flyer teams were a combined 32-4-2 in the Atlantic 10 regular season.  UD won A-10 tournament championships in 2009, 2010 and 2011, and lost in a shootout in finals of 2012.  Dayton also won the 2009 and 2010 A-10 regular season championships

Williams was a three-time NSCAA Second Team All-American and was on the Hermann Trophy (top collegiate soccer player) Watch List as a junior and senior.

She was the 2010 and 2012 A-10 Offensive Player of the Year, three-time First Team All-Atlantic 10 and 2009 A-10 Rookie of the Year.  She led the A-10 in goals, assists and points three times.

Williams saved some of her best work for the postseason.  She scored at least one goal in each of UD's A-10 tournament championship wins, including a then-conference record three in 2011 when she was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. She was a three-time A-10 All-Tournament and also started in two of UD's three NCAA tournament wins.

Just the 20th player in NCAA history to reach 50 goals and 50 assists, Williams played for the United States U-23 national team in 2013, and six games for the Washington Spirit in the NWSL until a knee injury ended her career.

She was two-time Academic All-Atlantic 10 and a Senior CLASS All-American as a senior in 2012.

Colleen is the President and Founder of SistaSoccer, Inc., a non-profit that works with children through the sport of soccer.  She lives in Belmar, N.J.
