BILLY MAYO - Football - 1965-1967
 

Billy Mayo is a small halfback from Lima, Ohio.  He was said to have wonderful speed and maneuverability in the open field and also was an excellent receiver.  He was said to have a fine attitude which made him a valuable asset on and off the field.  

He was the freshman leading ball carrier in 1964 and from then on was considered the “little big man” for the Flyers.  

In 1965 - he had 61 carries for 210 years with 1 touchdown.  He also had 7 catches for 98 years and this was all as spot player.

In 1966 – Mayo had 43 carries for 185 yards and 1 touchdown.  He also had a large part as a receiver as he was first on the team with 13 catches for 337 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Mayo was also the leader in kickoff returns that year with 291 yards.

In 1967 – Mayo rushed 128 times for 771 yards and 5 touchdowns.  He added 12 catches for 297 yards and 2 touchdowns.
