BOBBY JOE HOOPER - Men's Basketball - 1965-1968

Bobby was born on December 22, 1946. He was born in Lees Creek, Ohio. He was a guard for the UD Men’s basketball Team for 3 straight years. HE played 87 games and made 418 career field goals. He averaged 12.2 points per game which is why he is also is in the 1000 point club scoring, 1059 points over his college tenure. He holds the record for most consecutive free throws made in UD Men’s Basketball History (34). HE won the Free Throw Trophy in 1966 and 1967. HE won the Thomas M Luppe Memorial Award in 1965. The fans most memorable moment of Bobby Joe was high 20 foot game winning jump shot in overtime that beat Western Kentucky in the 1967 NCAA Tournament.
