JACK SALLEE - Men's Basketball - 1951-1955
An outstanding contributor to the UD basketball program, he was considered one of Dayton’s best clutch players. According to Coach Tom Blackborn, Jack was “one of the greatest competitors I have ever seen”. Jack played at University of Dayton from 1952-56 and played a big role in helping Dayton make it to the NIT finals in the 52 and 55 season. Sallee is one of few players in UD history to score more than 1,000 points a was named to the UD All-Century team. He earned himself the nickname Jumpin’ Jack while leading the Flyers to a composite record of 94 wins and 29 losses in his career at UD.
