FRANK BELANICH - Baseball and Football - 1923-1927

Frank Belanich was a 6 foot 192 pound tackle from Euclid, Ohio.  ““Box Car” was a four year tower of strength to the flyer 11 which he captained last fall.  His line (not scrimmage) which went over big with the blondes, would undoubtedly have swayed many a jury had he taken law.” –p28 The Daytonian 1927

1926 Letterman who played right field

“Bill is our captain elect.  He is a born leader with determination written all over his mannish face and his election to the football captaincy comes as a crowning climax to his past three years of stardom on the starting eleven. The greatest recognition which was tendered Bill was given by Francis Powers who gave him honorable mention on the Cleveland News All-American eleven and it can be truly said by those who have seen this big boy in action that he deserved all of this honor and more.”
