JACK ZIMMERMAN - Men's Basketball - 1976-1980
Jack Zimmerman made the short trip to UD from Kettering Ohio where he attended Alter High School. Zimmerman was a 4 year starter and according to an article in the University of Dayton Yearbook, he started ever since the second game of his freshman year. He acted as the Flyers guard throughout his career. He is mentioned as being a “one man scoring machine from long range.” Zimmerman is noted for having improvements in his game all 4 years.
During the summer before his senior season, Zimmerman played for the U.S. Intercontinental Cup Team in Europe. He took that opportunity to become a leader on the Flyers team. Zimmerman was a 6 foot 3 inch, Business Administration major. After graduating,
Zimmerman played for the Washington Generals on the Harlem Globetrotters U.S. Tour and two seasons playing in Israel and Europe. Zimmerman is currently the Senior Vice President of Current Analysis.
