TAMMY STRITENBERGER - Women's Basketball - 1977-1981

Tammy Stritinberger was a Point Guard for Dayton Women’s Basketball from 1977-1981. Tammy holds numerous records from her days as a Lady Flyer.  These records include most season assists (208), most career assists (593), Third all time Free Throw Percentage (.783), Second all time career steals (222), and sixth all time scoring(first among point guards).  In addition, Tammy was voted the team MVP for the 1978-79 season.  Tammy also was a member of the National Championship team in the 1979-1980 season.

Since leaving UD, Tammy has played professionally in Venezuela.  After her pro stint, Tammy came back as an assistant basketball coach for the Lady Flyers.  On January 13, 1990, Tammy became the 16th female athlete elected into the University of Dayton Athletic Hall of Fame.  Tammy is currently the Principal of Five Points Elementary East in Centerville, Ohio for grades 2-5.
