MALLORY BARNES –Track and Field 2007-11

Mallory Barnes is a two-time track and field All-American for the Dayton Flyers.  She finished sixth in the weight throw at both the 2010 and 2011 NCAA Indoor Championship meets. 

She also led the Flyers to back-to-back Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field championships in 2010 and 2011 and was a five-time Most Outstanding Field Performer at Atlantic 10 Championships (three indoor, two outdoor).

Barnes is still the UD record holder in the weight throw, has the second-best all-time mark in hammer throw, and is fourth in both shot and discus.  She has the top two weight throws in A-10 history and three of the top five.

She made a run at a berth on the 2012 Olympic team after graduating in 2011 with a double major in Operations Management and Marketing. 

A graduate of Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati, she now lives in Huber Heights, Ohio.
