DAVE COLBERT - Men's Basketball 1984-1986
Dave Colbert transferred to the University of Dayton from Cleveland State University after his sophomore year and played for the basketball team for the 1984-86 teams.
The 6’8 forward is one a limited amount of Flyers who scored 1,000 points while at the University of Dayton. Dave was the MVP for his junior season averaging 16.7 points per game and his senior season when he averaged 18.8 points. While at the university he lived in Founders Hall as he led the basketball team to bids for both the NCAA Tournament and the NIT.
After graduation he was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1986 but choose to play overseas before returning to his high school alma mater John Marshall as teacher and the head basketball coach.
