University of Dayton Athletics

Zimmer, from Tipp City, OH, was a star defensive back for UD football under head coach Mike Kelly. Number 19 stood at 6 foot 1 and 180 pounds and majored in Public Relations while at Dayton.  On the football field, Zimmer was a two-time All-American and captain of UD football as a senior while hauling in six interceptions.

He finished his career with the UD interception record with 20. He is currently the Wapakoneta High School Head Coach and lives in Troy with his wife Mary and their children, Emily and Nick.
