ROBERT "BOB" SHORTAL - Football - 1964-1966

Before coming to the University of Dayton, Bob Shortal was born and raised in Southfield, Michigan where Frank Buford coached him.

While at UD, Bob Shortal played linebacker and offensive guard for the Flyers. As a flyer football player, Shortal was 6’2 tall and weighed 219 pounds. Shortal wore number 60 as a Flyer. 

After UD, the New York Giants drafted Bob Shortal. He was drafted in Round 12 as a linebacker. He was selected in the 1967 NFL Draft.
